When Kate approached us with the Brand Strike concept, the idea was still in its early development. She envisioned a fun, game-like app that would easily integrate with Facebook and allow players to win real prizes by completing marketing milestones.
Being involved from the start of the project allowed us to help shape the core concept behind the Brand Strike Android and Facebook apps. Our main aim was to create a platform that was attractive to sponsors whilst still providing an engaging, fun experience for users. Through concept testing we settled on the slot machine mechanic which early testers found to be an enticing element. In order to allow various sponsors’ brands to stand out inside the app, we created a largely monochromatic interface, with bright, bold colour used to guide users through the interface, and emphasize the winning of prizes.
