Microvet App
The Challenge
When the problem effects lives.
As many of us at FULLYalive are animal lovers, we knew that an application that could remind you of appointments but also aid in seeking emergency veterinary assistance was bound to find a place in pet owners’ lives, and save
the lives of many animals in need. The challenge with creating an experience that would feel more natural than googling your nearest vet was the integration with a live database of local veterinary practices.
The Approach
Wiring a new way of thinking.
In order to truly become an integral part of pet owners lives, we needed to simultaneously develop MicroVetApp across all mobile platforms. Key platform differences can often be viewed as a limitation, however with the right minds on the job we created a clean and simple interface design that not only appealed to the fun loving nature of
pet owners, but allowed for seamless porting between platforms. By focusing on the core functionality of the app, we were able to craft a user experience that was intuitive and quick to use, allowing easy access to important updates and information on the go.
“Saving one pet won’t change the world, but for that one pet the world will change forever”
— Karen Davison , Psychologist in San Francisco, California, volunteer at Dog-Rescue
Appointments
Making and cancelling made easier.
With MicrovetApp we want to make our clients user experience easy and simple. No stressful long forms. With all your pets medical information stored on your application, any vet within South Africa can assist you with a click of a button. So you can rest assured, we know you furry child’s medical history and what will be best for their specific needs.
Lost and found
NGO links.
Loosing a pet is heart breaking. So we added the functionality to receive notifications from NGO’s and Vets that have reported finding a missing animal. Also, our users are able to post any found animals, so if your pet ran out the gate this morning, there will be an up-to-date feed with any lost furry friends, right at your finger tips.
“Design is a plan for arranging elements in such a way
as best to accomplish a particular purpose”
